Lowe (Atlanta, GA USA)

‘Lowe’ is a cyberpunk drama; Starring, written by and executive produced by Allie L. Harris, together with fellow Atlantans Kenisha Johnson (producer) and Jean-Pierre Chapoteau (director). The film has a thought provoking what-if story line, featuring carefully woven themes of loss, mental health and potentially devastating scientific developments in wet drive technology.

My initial cue compositions for the projects were deemed too busy for the sensitive nature of the film, so we eventually settled upon an intimate piano based score, with very subtle synth underscoring that allowed more space for the important diegetic sound design elements that underpinned the story.

Harris, Johnson and Chapoteau have created a film that shares a valuable lesson of the dangers of unfettered technology. I encourage anyone interested in these issues to follow their work.
